Is there a minimum age requirement to sign up for The Right Weigh?
Yes. We believe this program is best suited for adults over the age or 18 years old. In addition, we recommend you consult your physician before beginning any new program.
Will insurance reimbursement for this course?
In many cases, insurance will reimburse for courses such as this. Once you have completed all 12-weeks of lessons, we can provide you with a letter of completion to submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.
Will I need to count calories?
No. This program is so much more than calories in versus calories out. We will be addressing topics such as metabolism, energy density and physical activity. In addition, you will learn about hormones and other factors that affect why we eat and more importantly why we overeat.
Do I have to eat pre-packaged meals?
No. We are a whole-foods based program. Some participants choose to use high quality protein shakes to supplement some of their meals for a brief time as they get accustomed to a new routine. We truly believe there is nothing more nourishing than whole, real, unprocessed foods.
Can I eat at restaurants while participating in The Right Weigh for You program?
Yes. We will provide you with the tools you need to make healthy choices in every aspect of life, at home, work, parties, and dining out at restaurants.
Do I have to exercise to lose weight?
In the beginning of the program you may be making multiple food related changes. At first, it’s alright to focus on these changes alone. From our experience, exercise plays a vital role in weight loss and weight maintenance. During the physical activity class, you will learn how to get the greatest benefits from physical activity with the shortest time investment.
What if I have previously had bariatric surgery, can I participate?
Yes. We have had numerous pre and post bariatric patients complete this program with great success. As always, please check with your physician before beginning any new program.
